Half of the world’s population now uses the Internet to connect, communicate and interact. But basic access to the Internet is under threat from all angles – from the technology that underpins it, to government meddling. A growing number of people don’t trust the internet to be secure anymore. A global cooperative called ‘The Global Commission on Internet Governance’ had been preparing a consolidated report of recommendations with practical advice on how society can secure the future of the Internet. They now wanted to launch it to the world.
The task for the website and content that I produced for them was to translate a very technical subject matter into layman’s terms so that it could be understood by a wide audience. This was done by telling a simplified, animated story of the four foundational aspects of a stable and prosperous internet (Openness, Security, Trustworthiness, Inclusivity).
The videos were supported by a website, launch collateral and conference content. Social content was provided to global commissioners to share through their networks.
